From the Desk of Eric Bohn:
This Sunday, Nathalie and I are hosting a traditional Empire Runner
event, the Breakfast Runs. Everyone is of course invited. There will
be two events, a 2.3K followed by a 9.5K. The runs are informal,
though you are certainly welcome to race. The longer course is rather
hilly, and you may need to consult a map (provided) to stay on course.
There will be some minimal awards, but more importantly, a breakfast
potluck at our home after the runs! If you decide to join us, please
let us know to help us be ready for the number of people who arrive.
We'll be starting at the Austin Creek Elementary School near our house
- please park at the elementary school. To get there, take HW 12 East
of Santa Rosa, past Calistoga Road. Turn left at the next light
(Mountain Hawk). Go about a half a mile and turn right at the first
stop sign (Great Heron). Go about a quarter of a mile to the first
stop sign, and the school will be on your left. Go around the corner
to the left to find the entrance to the parking lot. The first run
starts at 9:00am, and the longer run as soon as everyone has finished
the short run.
